The News!

The date: March 17th, 2014.

There is an Earthquake in L.A.

Anne & I wake with a start.

Amazed by the beginning of this already amazing day (St. Patrick’s Day), and thinking she has good cause to ask, Anne looks and me and says:

“Do you want to test?”

More than a little nervous, I say, “Yeah, let’s do it.”

Oh my Goodness! It finally happened!

Short backstory: Anne & I have been trying to conceive for 8 years. Trusting God (you know us by now), we did it “all His way.” After 6 Years, in 2013, we conceived, but lost our first child, John David Felicity Annemarie to a miscarriage. (We didn’t know if it was a boy or girl, so we gave the child all the planned names. We call him or her “John Grace” for short. John Grace is buried in All Souls Cemetery in Long Beach, CA.) It was another whole year later that we conceived again (above). To believe that it was true, that our new baby would survive this time, was scary-hard to believe, so we told no one. My own mother didn’t know until roughly month FIVE! : / Sorry, mom. hehe.

Back to the present…

(If you are a “YOUNG CHAMPIONS” parent, please call or email me, and DO NOT tell the other YC Parents or your child yet. Nobody knows yet but you! Shhhh….)
